No more guesswork, uncertainty, straining with difficult subjects, or having to "piece" together different curriculum programs in the hope that your child is getting the education they need. HLS is a system whereby your child is enrolled with FCS and we are responsible for their education -but they complete their work at home. After an Academic Analysis, WE design their academic projection, WE set the daily goals, WE supply the curriculum, WE HELP with the difficult subjects, WE keep all academic records & WE report to YOU. WE supervise every aspect of their education, K5-12th levels.
After the initial Academic Analysis, it takes only one family conference to train families in the learning reinforcement procedures so that you can monitor their daily progress. The "Learning Center General Procedures Handbook" will then be supplied for future reference. You can be involved to the degree that YOU have time for or that YOU desire! The parent's only vital responsibility is to verify that the work is done each day (takes about 10 minutes) and make a trip to the school for 30 minutes every two weeks for “Curriculum Swap”.
Students complete daily goals in hard-copy materials. These materials are transferred back and forth in Curriculum Swap folders. These folders contain all the materials and due dates for students to stay on projection. Each folder has a Contents Inventory Label for the enclosed PACEs, score keys, PACE tests, Goal Cards, etc.). Materials will be inspected and a report will be made to parents bi-weekly and quarterly. If applicable, students will be required to make corrections and return materials for a second inspection.
HLS Students are encouraged to participate in extra-curricular activities: field trips, Merit Store, Thanksgiving and Christmas parties, graduation, etc. Students can also attend anytime you may need.
Diplomas for K5, 5th, 8th, and 12th grades are awarded from Fellowship Christian School!
Tuition & fees for this program are the same as full-time enrollment (see Full Time Tuition Plans).
